I use my computer everyday when I check my e-mail and facebook. I have also just started using this form of technology for my Calculus class. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I have a different homework assignment on webassign.net. Technology through a computer is also a much faster way to do research. I constantly have to do research in no matter what class I take. It is so much easier to look things up on the computer versus looking things up in the library. It will also help me learn a great deal in this class.
I hope to learn many new things in this class. My major is Mathematics, Education. Recently, teachers have started doing more and more work in the computer. They take attendance, store grades, create quizzes, and create links to helpful websites. I hope this class will give me access to becoming a better teacher by learning about the new forms of computer technology.
I chose this major because I love math. I hope to teach high school students. I was originally going to New York to play volleyball. However, after my season was over I found out that I had to have surgery on my hand. I was a setter; so, the whole game for me was my hands. I am never going to play at the level I was at before; therefore, I decided to go to FSU and major in the next thing that I love: math and kids!

I want to teach high school also. It's funny when I tell people because their immediate reaction is always "Why the hell would you want to do that?" I guess we're just crazy.
Ah man, that's horrible about your hand... But yep, I'm going for high school English! Fun times!
YAY for high school teachers! I love your blog page and your enthusiasm about teaching!
Aw, I'm so sorry about your hand! That's a shame. I played some volleyball in highschool as well, but was nowhere near good enough to play in college. I didn't even play all through high school! It's such a fun sport though.
I Love highschool kids!! NOt in a sick way!! I just think they are fun to play with. No NO not in a sick way! I meant with their minds.
